What is Samsung Pay? | Here is All You Should know

Samsung Pay is a digital wallet and a mobile payment service offered by Samsung Electronics that can allow you to make payments in person, in compatible Phones and other Samsung-produced devices.

Samsung Pay supports contactless payments using near-field communications (NFC), but also supports magnetic stripe only
payment terminals by incorporating magnetic secure transmission. In countries like India, it also supports bill payments.

Initially, the service was launched in South Korea on August 20, 2015 and later that year in the United States on September 28.

Users can only make this payment service on the Samsung phones and Samsung Watch. With Samsung Pay you can go around without your credit card or debit card, purchase stuffs and still make other transactions at a contactless-capable point-of-sale terminal.

The service is available in the South Korea, United States, United Kingdom, China, Australia, Spain, Brazil, Singapore, Puerto Rico, Russia, Canada, UAE, Thailand, India, Sweden, Japan, Taiwan, South Africa, Belarus, Mexico, Italy, France, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
Samsung Pay supports most major credit cards or debit cards, including American Express, Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay etc.
