Ren Zhengfei is the founder of Huawei and he was 42 when he founded the company. Today the company is one of the largest in the world. Zhengfai is currently 71 and he’s still the president of the company.

Huawei is a Chinese word. The first character of Huawei’s name in Chinese — 华 — is often refers to as ‘China’ or ‘Chinese.’ The second character — 为 — , means ‘achievement’ or ‘action.’ Combined, the two characters literally mean ‘Chinese achievement.’

The Chinese company founded by Ren Zhengfai has partnered with nothing less than 70% of the world’s top telecommunications companies.
Some of these companies are Vodafone, Motorola, T-Mobile, and so on. These two fights more than they both agree. But why? The US government suspects that the company may be working with the Chinese government to spy on them. Despite the US government not finding any poof, Huawei is still seen as a ‘national security threat’ and this is due to its ties with the Chinese government.
