WhatsApp stickers – the Messaging company has already announced its support for stickers and it will be rolling out to Android and iOS users over “the coming weeks.”
In other words, you can create your own stickers for WhatsApp, use them and even others too can start using them in their private chat as well. That sounds cool. But, how can you create the stickers? What are the procedures and requirements?
Creating WhatsApp Stickers
To create stickers for WhatsApp, you must package them in an Android or iPhone app. You can publish your sticker app like any other app to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and users who download and install your app will be able to start sending those stickers right away from within WhatsApp.
The messaging company won’t approve all stickers. Only stickers that are legal, authorised and met with its terms of service will be accepted.
To create your own stickers, here are some requirements you must meet.
1. Each sticker is an image that has a transparent background.
2. Stickers must be exactly 512×512 pixels.
3. Each sticker must be less than 100 KB.
You must also provide an icon that will be used to represent your sticker pack in the WhatsApp sticker picker or tray. This image should be 96×96 pixels and must be less than 50 KB.
