Lasso seems to be a competitor app to Tiktok. Mark Zuckerberg launches Lasso app in a bid to entice teens to facebook again. With this new app launched by facebook, users can create fun such as short videos designed to compete with TikTok, the viral 15-second video app.
Is it really necessary for facebook to make this move? Yes, because it seems facebook is losing it all when it comes to the world of teens. How so? In 2018, only half of teens say they still use Facebook, compared to in 2014, when over 71 percent of them said they did.
Hence, Lasso is Facebook’s latest bid to win over teens, which the large social media platform has lost its grip.
