It could be a strategy to boost or promote the sales of iPhone XR in the Asian continent or it maybe for the love of their customers in Japan. Anyways, in whatever case, Apple is reported to be planning the reduction of the iPhone XR price in Japan.
According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, the major carriers in Japan are planning to cut down the price of the cheapest of Apple’s 2018 iPhones as early as next week. Although, the extent of planned subsidies isn’t clear yet.
The report of a possible cut in price is coming a day after a yet to be confirmed news that Foxconn, the main iPhone manufacturer, plans to cut $2.9 million from its costs next year and reduced overtime hours after Apple slashed production orders for its iPhone XS, XS Max and XR.
