Apple AirPods has grown to gain everyone’s attention. While the first of its kind was released in 2016, it’s like a new version is already on its way. But we won’t get to see it till the first quarter of next year 2019.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, an upgrade of Apple AirPods should be expected in the Q1 of 2019 and a completely new version in early 2020. The new product, scheduled to arrive in the following months will have a wireless charging case.
There is also a report of enhanced Bluetooth functionality, noise cancellation features, improved water resistance, and hands-free support for “Hey Siri”. If all these reports are to be true, then we set to see it Q1 of next year.
Moreover, beyond 2019, Kuo believes that Apple in 2020 will release an AirPods update with a brand new design, though details regarding what type of design we can expect remain scare at this point.
While Apple won’t disclose specific sales figures, reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple may sell upwards of 28 million units by the time 2018 draws to a close. And Kuo believes that Apple in 2019 may sell upwards of 55 million units and as many as 110 million units in 2021 on account of the aforementioned brand new design.
