Huawei has made a bold claim to become the number one smartphone producer in the world. The Chinese tech company has so much believe in its strength to overcome Samsung Mobile.
Although Huawei has faced different problems from left and right, especially from the western countries. United States for example, has painted Huawei company to be a tool used by the Chinese government to spy on the west. However, Huawei founder Ren Zhengfai has denied the US allegation, asking for proof.
At a Conference that was held in Beijing, the company’s consumer division chief Richard Yu, said the consumers trust the company. “It’s only politics guys which are trying to put pressure on us.”(referring to the western countries)
Currently, Huawei is the second largest manufacturer of smartphone after the Korean company’s tech giant, Samsung. And last year, Huawei recorded tremendous progress despite heat of allegations from the West. Huawei said its consumer business revenue jumped 50 per cent last year, spiking past $52 billion.
Following Its success recorded last year, Huawei hopes to maintain the momentum going with a foldable smartphone which should be released soon, as well as its 5G chipset.
Speaking about the company’s smartphone business, Yu said:
“Even without the U.S. market we will be number one in the world,” he added, “I believe at the earliest this year, and next year at the latest.”
Yu has revealed that at the Mobile World Congress coming next month, Huawei will launch a foldable smartphone and start selling it in April. It will also showcase its new Balong 5000 chipset, allegedly the world’s most powerful 5G modem.
Huawei is indeed coming fast and strong at same time. Many think with this plan of Its already in place, it will only be a matter of time before it claim the number one spot from Samsung Mobile. Or what do you think?
