Mark Zuckerberg and his team sent a warning messages to users of WhatsApp third-party apps to stop. Third-party apps are applications that have been modified by others, looking similar like the official apps but they are not.
An example of such third-party applications are WhatsApp Plus and GB WhatsApp. According to Zuckerberg and his team, those who are using third-party apps are going to have their accounts blocked.
“WhatsApp does not support this third-party application because we cannot validate its security practices,” WhatsApp explained.
But just in case your account is already blocked, don’t worry, it is only temporary because users will be able to continue using WhatsApp by downloading the official WhatsApp application from the play store.
So it is recommended to stop using third-party apps (WhatsApp Plus and WhatsApp GB) now to avoid the temporary blockage of your account.
